Chinese businessmen built the world's largest wooden sailing ship and made it a home port. Later, they planned to rent it out and hold exhibitions to share Chinese culture. The "Fu Ning" uses traditional Chinese "watertight compartment" technology and is built of wood with a total length of 41.6 meters. Chinese businessman Lin Changjiu invested in building this "antique Dafu ship" with his passion for sailing and Chinese culture. The person in charge said that in order to commemorate the story of the famous Chinese navigator Zheng He's voyages to the Western Ocean, Lin Changjiu searched for the path traveled by his ancestors, so he embarked on a voyage to the South Seas.

The Fu Ning will then sail to Malacca, Malaysia, for some cultural exchanges, and then return to Singapore. The person in charge revealed that the ship will be mainly used for business operations in the future, and plans to hold exhibitions on the ship to display Chinese cultural art and share Chinese history and culture with the world.
The team will also consider leasing the Fu Ning, but will make a decision based on business yacht regulations and market demand. The person in charge said that as the local international port faces the world, making Singapore its home port can better promote Chinese culture. At the same time, there are also local professional sailors and technicians who can maintain the boats.

The Fu Ning is made of mahogany, and the floors inside the ship are also wooden. The person in charge shared that most modern ships are mainly made of steel, and the wood maintenance work on the Funing is the most difficult. Due to the hot and humid local weather, routine maintenance is very important when the ship is anchored in Singapore.

At present, the Fu Ning has not yet encountered the local rainy season. The team will observe it later and make adjustments to the maintenance work if necessary. The Fu Ning set sail from Huangpu, Guangzhou, China on January 31, and arrived at Tuas Port in my country on February 9 after ten days of sailing. After some adjustments, the vessel was berthed at the ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa from yesterday (24th) to participate in the Singapore Yachting Festival (Singapore Yachting Festival) display.
